Just a quick update. Christen went into recovery at 2:35 PM, and Debbie and I got to go into the recovery room with her at 4:05 PM. She is doing quite well. She is awake, talking, smiling, and generally making her parents quite happy to see her. :-) Praise God for His mercy. They are working very hard to manage her pain but it is quite high. They will hook her up to a pain pump soon. They are currently preparing to give her a blood transfusion since she lost quite a bit during surgery (not unexpected). She should be able to get out of the recovery area and up to her room within an hour or so.
