Get Ready, Get Set....

Here we go again---tomorrow morning early to UVA, our 2nd "home." We've had a wonderful break. Thank you, God. It's hard to get back into the chemo mode, but I know God has His blessings there for us as well. I just read recently in a book, Though I Walk Through the Valley, "Darkness brings out the stars and trouble brings out friends old and new and blessings never possible in sunnier times." How true. The stars don't come out until it's dark. Yes, it seems very dark sometimes, but there really are a lot of beautiful stars. Thank you, God, and thank you everyone. Pray that we will each go in God's strength. It looks like we will be going to UVA for the next three Thursdays for about five days each time. It's really rough on Christen, so I hate to even mention the much smaller "sacrifices" of the rest of us. God's grace has been more than sufficient for every day.

As much as you must not want to walk this path ahead and each week return for more chemo - I will pray you know the Lord's hand in guiding you all each step of the way - He has gone there before you, preparing the way, making the rough paths smooth and the crooked places straight. We pray that you will know so much of His love, care, grace and strength there for you. Run to Him, cry out to Him, call for him... we will be in prayer. John and Sue Burch

Thank you, Debbie, for sharing those thoughts and reminders to us. We are grateful that Christen was able to stay home until yesterday. We are praying for her, and the rest of this family, as this next chemo series begins. We will continue to pray. We love you.

Thank God for a brief run in at CVS with Debbie. Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Warrenton met The Presbyterian Church of Gainesville last summer during an over book at a local gas station for a car wish. Thanks to that meeting a fellowship developed and God has worked through our children. When I ran into Mrs. Lunsford and found out the news of Christen it took all that I could not to just break down in front of her. My Husband and I are so disappointed in ourselves that we had not visited their Church as we had promised and as a result we did not know the storm that the Lunsford Family is going through. Thank you God for bringing us together. We have told as many people as would could during the week and plan to announce to the congregation on Sunday morning to insure that prayers are being lifted. Christen and Family our prayers are with you and all those around you. We pray that God's Grace and Mercy is with you. Know that the Jackson Family is in constant prayer as you pass through this storm. May God smile upon you.
Love, Minister Earl Jackson and wife Kristy Jackson.
