In Philadelphia

We arrived safely in Philadelphia last night and are staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We have a couple of doctors appointments at CHOP today and then the rest of the time Christen will spend resting in preparation for surgery first thing tomorrow. Thank you for the prayers for us. We can tell that God is answering them.

We re-connected last night with a lady here whose family has a little girl who has been in the hospital for 7 months. Her mother has been here virtually the whole time. We first met her when we were here in January.

Please pray that Christen's heart will remain calm today as the surgery approaches. May she be able to see the smiling, saving face of her Savior and remember that He intercedes on her behalf before the very throne of God.

BTW, we did add a few new pictures to the photo album (see the link on the right near the top of the page).

Thanks!
Steve & Debbie

Steve, Debbie, Christen,

As I have prayed for you through this grinding trial, I am reminded of a dear old hymn, a hymn that has carried me through many hospital days with Frank's parents:

"It is well, it is well with my soul."

And

"A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He amidst the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great,
And armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal."

He is surely on your side!

Praying that God's strength will carry you all these days,

Kathryn for the Pugh Family
