Knee Surgery Complete

Dr. Dormans came by at 1:15 PM to report that the knee surgery is complete and everything went very well. We give praise to God that nothing unexpected came up and the Dr. feels that he was able to remove all of the tumor, and the endoprosthesis fit very well. It will take about a week to get the pathologist report back indicating how much of the tumor was killed by the chemo, and certainty that all of it was removed with clean margins of good tissue around the tumor site. We will also find out about the possible skip lesion then.

Dr. Dormans expects her to be up with crutches in a few days, and walking without them in 6 weeks. She will be very excited to hear that! She has been very anxious to be able to walk without crutches for a while now.

Thanks to God for answering prayers! May He be glorified.

Steve & Debbie

PTL! I've been thinking about you all since early this morning and praying that all would go uneventfully. I'm also glad she'll be getting a block. That makes all the difference in the world in terms of controlling pain.

Love and prayers,

Dear Steve,Debbie God is so good we have been praying all day. I called the hospital but that do not have a gift shop, since we could not see you all before you left I wanted to get Christen a bear to give her a hug from us. We love you Christen and will not stop praying for you, God Bless you. Love always, Uncle Tom and Aunt Sue

Dear Steve and Debbie,
I just got off the phone with Wendy Baker to give her the wonderful news from the blog! Praise God for His Grace and Mercy! Christen is so loved by Him and by us! I also wanted to let you know what a blessing it's been to have your girls close by to us. I've been putting them to work watching my little ones! Thanks! Love, Shannon (Wendy's neighbor)
