Monday Update

Christen is thankfully still sleeping soundly this morning. She is improving steadily, and the fact that she is able to sleep so well indicates that her pain is under control. She should receive the CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) machine today to move her knee back and forth so that she will have good range of motion in her knee when fully recovered. You can read here about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuous_passive_motion

Thanks for the continued prayers and encouragement. Hopefully we will find out more today about when we will get to go home.

Also, to answer a couple of questions that have arisen from recent posts, yes, she did eat the donut :-), and yes she was a little nauseous but not too bad (the Monday April 14th post) , and yes they did remove the suspected skip lesion. They have removed all known tumor from her body. We should find out if was indeed a skip lesion when we get the pathology report this week.

That's really great that the surgery was so successful, and that Christen is able to rest (and have donuts :) despite the pain.

I'm praying for you guys.

We give the Lord all glory for His perfect love and for answering our prayers! Thanks for letting us know about the donut...I was wondering myself! :-) Your daughter is quite a remarkable young lady!!! We are praying that the Lord would multiply her sleep and give ALL of your hearts rest in Him.

Dear Steve & Debbie,
We/re so glad to hear that things are progressing as expected for Christen and that she is getting better relief from the pain.
We arrived Saturday at the Raley's and are thoroughly enjoying your precious boys. They are so well behaved and so much fun.
All of you...and all of your challenges continue to be in our prayers.

John had a CPM when he was in hospital for the total knee replacement back in November. We think that gave him a huge jump forward on the physical therapy and range of motion. The beginning of a lot of work to get the most out of the new knee. We are praying for the pain management and the work ahead. Very encouraging to know she is getting some sleep now.
