In Surgery

They wheeled Christen back to the Operating Room at 7:55 AM. The surgery will take at least 5 hours, and probably a little longer since they plan to put the broviac central line back in.

After today, the next big event will be getting the results of the tumor response to the chemo. We should have this within the next 2 weeks. Please pray that the spot on the bone above the main tumor site will not be a skip lesion. This is the spot that showed up on the first MRI which they thought it was an "artifact", but it also showed up on the 2nd MRI here at CHOP, so an "artifact" explanation is unlikely. If it is a skip lesion, that would indicate a poorer prognosis. We know God is in control, and loves Christen with an everlasting love from before the foundation of the world.

She is having a very painful procedure today. Pray that they will be able to manage her pain well. They decided to give her two special catheter's in her leg/torso area to deliver medication to block the nerve pathways in her leg.

Dear Steve and Debbie, BEAUTIFUL parents...I am praying for you right now in Jesus name that you would sense the presence of the Lord, that you would stay strong in faith, knowing He is who He says He is...that God would guide the doctor's hands with great precision, and that the spot on her knee would not be something bad. We are thankful that we have a Father in Heaven who wants us to come to Him for all we need...and we are asking that He would be the very breath you take. May complete healing come to Christen in Jesus name. We love you guys! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Anne & Bob D

Oh Lord, I cry out to you on Christen's behalf. Please touch her, heal her. Thank you Heavenly Father for hearing our prayers.
We love you so.

Dear Steve and Debbie, beloved by so many,

What a blessing to have a team of people praying, a team of people loving, and a wonderful team of doctors and nurses.

May our Lord show His great healing power for your beautiful, spunky Christen.
