Easter

Thanks for the continued prayer for Christen. She is still in the hospital, hoping to come home Wednesday, but with the very real possibility that she will go right back on Thursday, depending on how her liver is doing. If her liver hasn't recovered enough then she could go on our church retreat this weekend, but on the other hand that would put another week delay in getting the chemo finished. Having said that, she REALLY REALLY would love to go on the retreat.

We had a very nice visit today as a family in Christen's hospital room. Everyone was there which I believe is the first time that we have all visited Christen at the same time. Louie(18), William(6), and Jordan(7) all traded punches with one another in their arms for a little entertainment. I felt bad for Louie since William's fist is so small and he was putting everything he had into the punch. :-) I think Louie will be OK though.

Please pray for Christen's spirits this evening. It is very hard for someone in her situation not to be discouraged.

Lord Jesus, tonight would You please lift Christen's spirit? And do it in a way that she will specially recognize Your love, and be encouraged and comforted...Your heart breaks when we hurt, so we ask because You've committed Yourself to us, to supply every need. Thank You, Lord!

Heavenly Father, it is so hard for us to see Christen suffer, yet we know that you watched Your own Son suffer for us. I, too, humbly ask that you would lift Christen's spirits. Please give her parents an extra measure of faith, energy, grace and patience. Please give all the kids an extra measure of faith, too. Thank You that we can come to You in prayer, knowing that you answer each one in Your perfect timing.
Christen, we love you, and we will continue to pray for you.

Dear Father, Please, please let Christen go to the retreat and have a relaxing weekend. Please take away all infections. But your will be done. Amen

I just wanted to let you guys know that I prayed for you on Easter, and I continue to pray for you. It was such a joy to be Christen's nurse in the PICU. She touched my life, and reminded me why I come to work everyday. Thank you so much Christen. You are an amazing and beautiful person, inside and out.

God Bless,
