Christen will have to be in the hospital until at least Friday, and depending on how her blood count numbers are she may have to stay for 10 days to complete an antibiotic regimen. The nausea also returned in force today. :-( Two bits of bad news in one day. We continue to learn to expect the unexpected.

we are praying. This is a difficult time when everything becomes so very REAL. The Spirit understands the groans too deep for words.

Following each day..PRAYING that EVERY need (even those that you do not even realize yet :) will be met by the Heavenly FAther, in HIS perfect time & way..FOR HIS GLORY!!! You will look back & be amazed..meanwhile we ask that your counts revive, your body fight the way it was intended, nausea to stop.. May GOD grant you strength, REST & PEACE for you all.

You will not remember me as you the last time we saw each other you were 2 and 1/2 years old. My husband, John and I, were newly married and members at GPC. I can still remember your mom being pregnant with you:)
I respect that up to this time you have not wanted to have contact with me though we share an enormous life experience in common. I was diagnosed with Ewings Saroma to my second left rib in December 1978, and underwent extremely intense (much like yours) chemotherapy plus radiation as my tumor was sensitive to that type of therapy wherea yours in not.
Given the similarities, there are obvious differences that I do not want to ignore: I was 8 years old and you are 15 years old. I lived in and for the moment without much thought of the future, and you are likely beginning to dream about the future the Lord has planned for you.
I have spoken with your parents multiple times to encourage, gather information, and troublehoot side effects; I believe that most important thing I that I have to offer to you is myself. You may choose to reach out now, later, or never. Please know that I will not be offended given any scenario. I just want you to know that I do not dwell on the negatives; I search for the positives; and I believe that though this road is marked with great suffering, you will rise above it all to the glory and praise of our Lord Jesus who holds you so close to His heart even when you feel abandoned!
